Baptist expands reach of its new specialty pharmacy

Patients across the Mid-South region with a disease state treated by specialists like oncologists, neurologists, and gastroenterologists now have a new specialty pharmacy to help with their needs. The Baptist Specialty Pharmacy on Baptist Memorial Hospital’s East Memphis campus at 6025 Walnut Grove in the physician office building adjacent to the hospital is the first of its kind for Baptist and serves its entire local footprint of Mississippi and Tennessee.

The Emmanuel Center has stood in the middle of its South Memphis neighborhood since 1989. That includes during 2010, when hundreds of residents were relocated during the Hope VI renovation of public housing complex Cleaborn Homes. Demolition took place around the church. That challenge resurfaces as Foote Homes, located across the street, prepares for its transition to mixed-income housing.
