The Curb Market opens in Midtown

More grocer options are now available in midtown. The Curb Market, located in the former Easy-Way location on Cooper St., opened to the public today.

The store promises to locally source its food, meaning meat, produce and dairy products will come from farms within a 100-mile radius of Memphis. The food is also being marketed as chemical-free. Through The Curb Market, shoppers can support local growers and vendors in addition to buying quality, healthy products – some of which they can’t get elsewhere.

The business is owned by Peter Schutt, who owns The Daily News Publishing Co. as well as two local farms in Dancyville and Whiteville, Tenn. Memphis-based creative firm Farmhouse was responsible for the store’s marketing.

The 2,500-square-foot space will be open from 8am to 7pm six days a week, closed on Sundays.
