Ashley Mayfield is a native Memphian and graduate of East High School. She furthered her education at The University of Tennessee Knoxville studying English Literature and African American Studies. In her spare time, she enjoys sending time with her beautiful daughter MacKenzie and rescue dog Beanie. Mayfield is a graduate of the first High Ground News Community Correspondents program, a training course to train Memphians from under-served communities as neighborhood reporters able to create expert narratives from within.
