There’s just something about being out in nature.
Getting out in fresh air, away from the distractions of life. A walk on a sunny day, a snowy day, or even a rainy day is good for the soul.
And in those moments when something unexpected happens, that time outside is even better.
A Ruby-throated hummingbird hovers showing how fast its wings are.
It could be a bird that you’ve been hoping to see that lands on a branch near you.
Or maybe it’s the afterglow of a stunning sunset.
It could be a deer that wanders across your path.
Or maybe it’s the unpredictable glow of the Northern Lights that are rarely seen in Ohio.
Anything unexpected is a plus.

I try go out taking photos, hoping to find that unexpected something.
Many times I come back with only a walk in the woods.
But sometimes, I am lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.
