James Proffitt

James Proffitt is a freelance writer and photographer in Marblehead. His interests include nature, conservation, fishing, hunting, travel and all things Lake Erie. He's the Lake Erie contributor for Detroit Public Television's website, www.greatlakesnow.org, and his podcast, "Lake Effect" is part of WGTE Public Media's Voices Around Us series. He published "Marblehead Lighthouse on Lake Erie, Ohio's Historic Beacon" with Arcadia Press. He's a member of the Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers and the Society of Environmental Journalists.
